They say that eyes are windows to the soul. I understand why. Looking into the eyes of something living, you can see so much emotion. Sometimes, it's like you can actually see their soul, when they let you. Sometimes what you can see in a person's eyes is shocking, softening, beautiful, intense or heartbreaking. When a person chooses not to hide these things from you, it is a privilege. Handle what they show you with care, because showing you these things in the first place might be one of the hardest things they have had to do.
