Yesterday was results day. I woke up and at 8.03 checked my Ucas, but they hadn't posted anything yet. I kept checking all morning, but the only thing that changed was my insurance choice, Brunel, had given me an unconditional offer from my results. I hadn't heard back from Oxford Brookes which made me incredibly nervous, because that is where I have had my heart set for the last two years. So I went to college, thinking that I must have done badly because otherwise, why would Oxford Brookes take so long to consider my place? But then I opened my results, and I got an A in psychology, and A in French and an A* in Sociology. I actually had no idea that I was capable of that.
When I got home, I phoned Oxford Brookes and they said that because of my grades, my offer has changed to unconditional, but the reason it wasn't on Ucas is because they are still waiting for my health clearance to go through. I am not worried about it though; last week in my assessment I was completely honest about all of my health problems, and the woman said that it is very unlikely they will consider me unhealthy enough to do the course.
Two years ago this felt so far away, and now I am finally going to start training as an Occupational Therapist. It feels amazing. To top it all off, Oli bought me a laptop yesterday after I told him my results! I love how supportive he is. I am so lucky to have him. I don't remember the last time I was this happy :)
