Ever since I was about 14 i've been very maternal. I see babies and toddlers on my way home from college every day, and I think they are so precious. I just want to hold them. People panic when they see how maternal I am, thinking it means I want to get pregnant right now, but I think it's completely natural that I would want a baby. Surely your maternal instincts would be strongest when you are young, when you are at your most fertile? It's funny how, hundreds of years ago it would have been normal for a 17 year old to have children, but now it is looked down upon, and seen as a disasterous, shameful thing to happen. It's like our society is defying nature.
