I want to live before I die, so don't say I have to cry on one more freezing floor

Here are some things that I have learnt...

1) You don't always get the help you think you are going to get. A lot of the time, you have to just do your best to help yourself instead. You can never rely completely on other people, because the chances are they will let you down. Asking for help is good, but you have to be careful not to put too much faith in other people.

2) You are probably stronger than you think.

3) Sometimes worrying doesn't help. Trust that things will get better, because worrying makes everything feel worse.

4) Having something to look forward to every day, no matter how insignificant it might seem makes everything feel a little bit better.

5) You do not have to be happy all the time. It's okay to feel sad/angry/hurt/scared sometimes.

6) You are not going crazy.

7) Drinking to try and run away from your problems is NOT going to help. It's just going to make things worse in the long run.

8) There are so many things that make me lucky. Everyone's lives are flawed in some way.

9) There ARE people who care. I am one of them.

10) You cannot always trust people who are supposed to be helping you. Not everyone is as professional as they look.
