Speak

I love Speak, the film and the book. I wouldn't describe it as a book about rape. It's a book about how a thirteen year old girl finds the strength that she didn't even realise she had, to speak. It's about empowerment, and finding the courage to fight back and stand up for yourself. It's quite inspiring. Now, whenever I stay silent in a situation I don't like, I think about Speak and it gives me the courage I need to speak :)
