What It's All About

For those of you who don't know, the vestibular system is in the inner ear and keeps you balanced. For some people, it goes wrong or gets damaged. There are so many symptoms that people with vestibular disorders can get, and everyone is affected by it differently. The main symptoms of a vestibular disorder/MAV are dizziness and vertigo. There are loads of different types of vestibular disorders, and some are more treatable than others.

People with MAV get migraines, but they are quite different to normal migraines. Instead of getting the usual migraine symtoms, we get neurological symptoms, like dizziness, numbness and blurred vision. I don't know how many times a day i get a migraine because i am dizzy so often. It's difficult to tell because it's like all of my migraines merge into one. I often just feel like i am on a boat. Other times, i am walking and my vision is all jumpy.

Everyone is a potential victim of a vestibular disorder or MAV. You have no idea if/when it will hit you, but once it does, your life has changed.
